Transition Updates

Hello race fans! As High Road Promotions transitions to Evergreen Speedway in the coming week we wanted to give you some new updates.

First, to clear up some rumors about the current track facility. The walls, the fences, the dirt and the grandstands are in place. All rolling, and non-fixed assets are being removed by Johnson Production. These were items purchased from IPI. The trucks, the track equipment, the UKE tires, office furniture and non capital investments to the county are owned by Johnson Productions. The county will do another walk through with JP on final move out, and a walk through with HRP on move in. Everything will become final when all parties sign off. I hope that makes everything clear!

Second, and a point that many drivers, fans, sponsors and teams are concerned about. The 2010 Awards Banquet. We want to assure everyone there WILL BE A BANQUET. GUARANTEED. We will provide more details in the near future. Many sponsors, clubs, drivers and teams have offered assistance, of which we all are very appreciative.

Third, our partnership with the clubs and teams that compete at Evergreen. We can't tell you how proud we are to work with so many great people. From Bill who runs the Karting, Lupe the Street Drags Director, Russell the Director of Evergreen Drift, and Bill and Shari and the great staff at WWRA. We have been to several board meetings, banquets and one on one meetings the past few weeks, with great interest for an outstanding 2011 race season.

As soon as we move into Evergreen we will start our Saturday Night team, class, and rules meetings. We apologize for any delays in starting the rebuilding process. We have compiled over 200 suggestions for rules and operations through our evergreenrules@hotmail.com site. While we know we can't use everyone’s suggestions, we can and will use many of them! The ONLY way Evergreen Speedway will become the Premiere track in the Northwest again, will be through communication, cooperation and efforts on the part of the promoters and racers to create what we all want. Our long-term agreement gives us many opportunities, one of which is to start completely over and build a competitive, economical, fun, and fair race environment for the teams and the fans. The passion that drives each and everyone at HRP is found in each and every one of you. How we use that energy will drive the Speedway.
