Updates!

Our 2010 Awards Banquet is less than 48 hrs away!  Should be a great time. Looking forward to meeting those we have not met.  Only 70 days will remain after Saturday, until the first green flag of 2011 will drop. We only have about 6 months of work to complete in 60 days!  Our move in process is getting closer, the painting will be done this week, carpet, furniture and then OPEN HOUSE! 

A quick update on our Season Sponsors.  A Big thank you for returning Class Sponsors Foster Press, Les Schwab Tires, Judd & Black, and the US Army.  In the next few days we are excited to announce many new business partners!

Anticipation is running high for the racers and for us at High Road Promotions. Together this is going to be a very fun year!  Thank you for all of the support and well wishes.

Demo Derby / Roll Over/ X Treme V8's

Rules will be posted very soon for the above classes! New rules for the Demo Derby Cars will allow many more competitors!  The theme for this years Evergreen State Fair will be "Hungry for Fun"....you get the idea! The whole year of racing will be based on that premise.

Super Figure 8 / FEAR date changed!

Due to a scheduling conflict with South Sound Speedway and the NWOF8, we are changing our date for the 60 minutes of FEAR. The race is rescheduled for May 7th.  The June 4th date moves to June 11th.  We will add a Hornet and Dual Xtreme races to the June 4th date.

Super Figure Eight Rules Update!

After several weeks of rules turmoil from the past seasons, we are pleased to announce some new revisions.
A consensus was reached to blend the older classic style of cars and the newer generation of figure eight cars into rules that would ensure the future of SF8 racing at Evergreen Speedway.  This is great news for the sport and fans of Super Figure Eight racing!  I would like to express a sincere thank you to everyone working together to accomplish this important task. 2011 WILL be an exciting time for Evergreen Speedway. Many high profile events plus our emphasis on the history and heritage of Evergreen will be showcased all season long. A huge part of that history and heritage is Figure 8 Racing. Once again, thank you Figure Eight Racers!

Rule amendments:  #1.  Steel wheels up to 10"

                              #2. Minimum weight 2600 lbs.

                              #3. 8 inch tires

                             #4. No additional weight penalties for engine setback

                              Tires for the class will be announced shortly.

After the 2011 season, everyone in the class will be invited to sit down and review the all of the rules.  From that meeting, we would like to adopt rules for at least a 3 year period.

NASCAR SIGN UP!

We will have a sign up table at the Awards Banquet for NASCAR registrations on Saturday night from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.   4H HALL on the Fairgrounds. The Super Late Model Class will be the NASCAR featured division for 2011.

This is just the first sign up date!  We thought it would relieve some pressure and lines to do this over different nights. As a reminder, this is a NASCAR registration.  All checks must be made out to NASCAR.  You can either use a check, cashiers check or credit card for this registration.
